Number of Awards: 10-17 (A minimum of four grants will be awarded to tribes/tribal organizations pending application volume)

Target Population: The purpose of this program is to implement suicide prevention and intervention programs for individuals who are 25 years of age or older.

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants are statutorily limited to:

  • States, District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories health agencies with mental health and/or behavioral health functions;
  • Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, and consortia of tribes or tribal organizations
  • Community-based primary care or behavioral health care organizations;
  • Emergency departments; or
  • Local public health agencies.

Recipients funded under SM-17-006 are not eligible to apply for funding under this FOA.
