Target Population: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding under the FY 2021 Second Chance Act Youth Offender Reentry Program to provide grants to state, local, and Native American tribal governments, and nonprofit organizations, to provide reentry services and programs to youth.
This program furthers the Department’s mission by supporting efforts to reduce recidivism and improve outcomes for youth returning to their communities after detention or out-of-home placement.

Eligibility:

City or township governments, County governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, State governments, and:

Category 1:

  • State Governments
  • City or township governments
  • County governments
  • Indian/Native American tribal governments (federally recognized)

Category 2:

  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • Indian/Native American tribal organizations (other than federally recognized tribal governments)
