Data Integration Consultant for behavioral health IT

Consultant will design, develop and deliver integration solutions using the data integration processing, such as Pentaho. They are knowledgeable across all aspects of the project lifecycle and knowledgeable in greater detail and are familiar with the behavioral health. Expert communicator for skills training of existing client staff to maintain end product deliverable.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as Professional Services Consultant in a client facing role. 
  • At least 4 years’ experience in software support or Data Integration.
  • Proven Experience with all aspects of data integration projects lifecycle. 
  • Knowledge of EDI and Integration.
  • Readiness to provide direct training to client for end use product and go live use.

Desired Skills:

  • Business Intelligence experience.
  • Development experience. 
  • Middleware (webMethods/TIBCO/ECS) experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking.

Technical:

  • Experience with gathering and creating technical and functional definition and design documents.
  • Relational database experience (Oracle, DB2/UDB, or SQL Server) with basic SQL skills and expert experience with Python coding.
  • Proficient in HTTP(S), FTP, AS2, webservices and SMTP protocols is required.
  • Knowledge of EDI Formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS), XML, XPath, XSLT, XML Schemas is required.
  • Basic programming experience in server side scripting, .Net, Java or other higher languages. 
  • Prior software Data Integration and/or development consulting experience, with a focus on Enterprise application integration experience or ERP type solutions. 
  • Ability to create solutions from proposal through Data Integration and go-live of end product deliverable.
  • Supply chain experience in behavioral health or health care service provision.

Project Management:

  • Evaluate project requests to develop resource plans and task schedules.
  • Identify and work with client and internal stakeholders.
  • Co-facilitate project status meetings. Document actions, issues, decisions and agreements from the meetings.
  • Excellent customer facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to business and technical audiences.

Finance Management Consultant

SAE is seeking a part time finance management consultant who has finance/budget experience in healthcare, preferably behavioral health in non-profit settings.

Qualifications

  • Analysis of a variety of financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures, cost projections, insurance, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and support, making recommendations, maximizing use of funds, and/or ensuring overall operations are within budget.
  • Collaboration with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators, auditors, public agencies, public officials, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining services and programs.
  • Improvements of financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Clear and effective presentation of financial analysis to key stakeholders including other operations staff.
  • Knowledge of health care billing and policies affecting behavioral health provider revenue.

Qualified candidates should be comfortable drafting financial analyses and presenting results to a variety of staff, including senior management and individuals who may not feel comfortable with financial analyses.

Clinical Case Record Reviewer -  Experience Working in an Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit

Our behavioral health consulting firm is looking for a consultant with a minimum of 5 years of direct service experience working in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit to serve as a case record reviewer of adult inpatient psychiatric charts. This is a consulting role and requires a minimum of five years of direct experience, and familiarity with the inpatient needs of persons with serious and persistent mental illness, many of whom have been involuntarily committed to acute inpatient care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Case Record Reviews: Consultant will review electronic adult inpatient psychiatric case records against clearly defined criteria, and will provide notes of the review findings. Instruction will be provided at the start of the project and supervision will be offered throughout the project.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree and active license in social work, psychology, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of direct service experience working in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit;
  • At least 5 years of experience in patients’ treatment plan development, implementation and review on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit, with emphasis on the acute care treatment needs of patients with serious and persistent mental illness;
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of best practices and standards of care related to work with adults in an acute inpatient psychiatric treatment setting focusing on admission, continuing stay and discharge criteria;
  • Proficient in basic technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and conference call programs, etc., and comfortable working remotely via email and phone;

We are looking for a consultant with at least 5 years of direct service experience working in residential treatment centers for youth to serve as a case file reviewer.

A qualified candidate will have at least 5 years of direct service experience in the following areas:

  1. Residential treatment centers for youth with behavioral/emotional difficulties;
  2. A thorough knowledge of treatment plan development and implementation consistent with defined standards of care;
  3. Knowledge of key issues involving treatment in a residential treatment center for at-risk youth, to include criteria for admission continuing treatment, and discharge.

Clinical Case Record Reviews: Case files will be provided to qualified consultants electronically for their review based on defined standards of care. Government Grant Writer for Behavioral Health, Human Services and Education

SAE & Associates work with local and national health and behavioral health providers to develop resources and programs that serve the needs vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness, at-risk youth, those with substance abuse or mental illness, persons living with HIV/AIDS, children and families, and persons currently or previously involved in the criminal justice system. We are seeking experience and successful federal grant writers for project-based behavioral health consulting work. Projects involve writing competitive government proposals for local, state and federally funded health and behavioral health human service agencies serving these vulnerable populations.

Required: Candidates will have:

  • Demonstrated previous funded behavioral health and human service grant writing success with SAMHSA, DOJ/BJA, DOE, CMS, HRSA, ACF, or other human service agencies;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Management and/or program development experience in behavioral health, health, homelessness, or human service delivery.

Preferred: Preferred candidates will have:

  • An advanced degree in social work, psychology, education, public administration, public health or a related area;

Behavioral Health Consultant - Clinical and Business Experience

We are an expanding and innovative behavioral health consulting firm addressing the clinical and business changes behavioral health providers are facing as they transition to a managed care environment. We seek a consultant with “hands-on” experience of Medicaid managed care and integrated behavioral health and medical care for persons with serious behavioral health issues. Specific knowledge of and experience with technical assistance and supportive guidance on the systemic, regulatory, clinical and fiscal changes initiated by Medicaid managed care are expected. In addition, strong knowledge of the impact that the use of EMR has on the clinical, fiscal, and operational aspects of agency performance and goal attainment will be beneficial.

Required Experience

Skills in the clinical, fiscal, and operational oversight of the change management process that agencies face:

  • The ability to identify and implement the fiscal, clinical, and operational change processes within the requirements of Medicaid and managed care and the needs of various populations of focus from childhood to older adults;
  • Knowledge of clinical quality control processes;
  • Experience with UM/UR processes;
  • Staff training skill sets to support performance changes and patient and agency goal attainment;
  • Understanding of operational process and procedural steps that support diagnostic and service provision coding and new billing procedures mandated by the managed care environment and the use of an EMR;
  • Knowledge of the impact of the EMR on behavioral health treatment plan requirements;
  • Knowledge of the claims data processes that agencies must use with an EMR;

Additional Clinical Skills Preferred

  • Care coordination and case management experience;
  • Knowledge of the clinical and support needs of various populations of focus across the life span from children to older adults and involving systems of care and control such as the criminal justice system, the Veteran’s Administration, Departments of Social Services, Children Serving Agencies, and County, Municipal and State behavioral health agencies;
  • Knowledge of EBPs that have been applied to address the needs of various populations of focus across the life span;
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders (behavioral health and substance abuse and/or chronic disease) treatment with relevant evidence based protocols;
  • Knowledge of treatment adherence and health disparities reduction strategies.
  • A strong awareness of the role that fiscal analytics and data collection play in determining cost effective services;
  • A strong awareness of the impact of the EMR on diagnostic and service provision coding and claims data submission;

Experience/Education Required

  • At least eight years of high level supervisory experience in behavioral health
  • Extensive knowledge of current trends/issues in behavioral health, including Medicaid managed care, integrated care, and health disparities;
  • Master’s level or higher graduate degree in behavioral health.

Independent Evaluation Consultant

An innovative consulting firm seeks independent evaluators with extensive experience in conducting program specific and/or organization wide evaluation projects, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.

The ideal consultant will:

  • Serve as a program evaluator on federally funded behavioral health and social service programs;
  • Establish and implement evaluation projects that identify underlying problems, and correct those inefficiencies in agency services;
  • Work with nonprofit organizations and government entities to develop and analyze data that answer the question: “Who does what to whom to what effect and ultimately at what cost?”
  • Assist in developing innovative, effective approaches that support that integration of behavioral health and primary care.

Candidates will have:

  • A proven track record with a minimum of four years of experience in program evaluation;
  • PhD or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology or other human services field;
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Knowledge of SPSS;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Project oversight experience, including experience with SAMHSA RFAs;
  • Knowledge of Medicaid transformation and behavioral health managed care;
  • Knowledge of Spanish (preferred);
  • Experience in marketing the value of evaluation as a tool for agency growth (preferred)

Consultants will work Part-time on a project-by-project basis. Consulting assignments and fees are commensurate with experience.
