December 3, 2013 was National Roof Over Your Head Day, a day created to foster appreciation of the things that we have, starting with the physical structures in which we live. Yet, many adults and children in this country currently live without a roof over their heads. The National Coalition for the Homeless reports that approximately 3.5 million people (1.35 million of them children), are likely to experience homelessness in a given year.
Supportive Housing models have proven effective in combatting homelessness across the country. In collaboration with The National Council for Behavioral Health, SAE & Associates is delighted to present a free webinar on “How to Fund and Build a Strong Supportive Housing Programs” on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 2:00-3:30pm Eastern Time. Presenters will include SAE’s expert Capital Development Consultant, Amy Larovere, who has worked with human service providers across the nation to develop and operate more than 10,000 units of housing; Mark Hurwitz, President/CEO of Palladia, a New York City based organization that serves approximately 2,000 clients struggling with addiction, homelessness, domestic violence and trauma each day through its supportive housing and other behavioral health programs; and SAE’s Vice President, Heidi Arthur, a behavioral health expert with 20 years of experience in project design, implementation, and administration for special populations, including those experiencing or at risk for homelessness.
